Fiber connections from ASTA-NET are generally stable, but random drops usually point to a physical layer issue. Check whether the fiber patch cord behind your router is seated properly — a slightly loose connector can cause intermittent signal loss. Also inspect the ONT device (the fiber terminal box) for any indicator lights that are red or off entirely. If the WAN light on your router blinks irregularly, restart both the ONT and the router in sequence, waiting 90 seconds between them. If drops persist, the issue likely sits at the junction box in your building, and you'll need to call support.
If latency spikes consistently in the evenings, your equipment is probably fine. The bottleneck is usually in the local network segment. Try connecting via Ethernet cable directly to the router and run a speed test to rule out Wi-Fi interference. If ping is still high over a wired connection, log a ticket with ASTA-NET specifying timestamps — this data helps them identify congestion points on your segment faster.
This happens when the ONT authenticates correctly but the upstream session fails. Restarting the router usually resolves it within two minutes. If not, check whether your PPPoE credentials are entered correctly in the router settings — providers sometimes update authentication parameters after maintenance windows.
ASTA-NET mobile services run on a partner network, so indoor coverage depends on the carrier infrastructure in your area. Enabling Wi-Fi calling in your phone settings lets voice calls and SMS go through your broadband connection when the cellular signal is poor. This setting is usually found under phone or cellular settings depending on your device.
If outgoing messages fail, first check whether your SMS center number is correctly set. On most Android phones this is found in messaging app settings under advanced options. The correct number should be available on the ASTA-NET support page. If messages arrive with significant delay, the issue is typically a temporary overload on the SMSC and resolves on its own within an hour.
