Beobank App Won't Open or Crashes

If the Beobank mobile app freezes on launch or closes immediately, start by clearing the app cache through your phone's settings. If that doesn't help, uninstall the app completely and reinstall the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Older versions sometimes lose compatibility after a backend update and simply refuse to start.

Login Fails Despite Correct Credentials

This usually comes down to one of a few causes:

  • The session token stored on your device has expired — log out fully, clear the app data, and try again
  • Your account may be temporarily locked after several failed attempts — wait 30 minutes before retrying
  • The itsme or card reader authentication step is timing out due to a slow connection — switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data or vice versa
  • Caps Lock is on or the keyboard autocorrects your password — type it in a visible field first to confirm
Online Banking Page Doesn't Load

If the web portal returns a blank page or a timeout error, the issue is often local. Try a different browser, disable extensions, and clear cached data. If the problem persists across browsers, flush your DNS cache by running ipconfig /flushdns on Windows or the equivalent on Mac. Also check whether your ISP is blocking certain certificate authorities — this occasionally affects Belgian banking domains.

Payment Gets Stuck or Declined

A payment that sits in processing for more than a few minutes without confirmation is usually caused by a session that dropped mid-request. Refresh the page, check your transaction history before retrying — duplicate submissions do happen. If the payment shows no record at all, the request likely never reached the server. Try again on a stable connection and avoid switching networks during checkout.

Transfers Not Arriving on Time

SEPA transfers within Belgium typically settle the same day if submitted before the cutoff, usually around 4 PM. Delays beyond that window are worth checking with support, but first confirm the IBAN was entered correctly — one wrong character routes the transfer to a validation hold automatically.

Push Notifications Stop Coming Through

Go to your device's notification settings and confirm that the app has permission to send alerts. On iOS, background app refresh must also be enabled. If permissions look fine, log out of the app and back in — this re-registers your device token with the notification service and usually restores delivery within minutes.
