Mobile internet connection drops frequently

Your phone shows signal bars, but internet won't load anything. First, toggle airplane mode on and off — this forces the device to reconnect to the nearest tower. If that doesn't help, manually select the network operator in settings instead of leaving it on automatic. Sometimes the phone stubbornly holds onto a weaker tower. Check your APN settings too: they should match Congstar's configuration (internet.telekom for most tariffs). Wrong APN parameters cause connection failures even with full signal bars.

Cannot receive SMS verification codes

Two-factor authentication codes simply don't arrive. Check if your inbox is full — delete old messages to free up space. Some phones have separate storage limits for SMS. Restart your device completely, not just screen off and on. If you're roaming, verification texts might be delayed or blocked. Try requesting the code again after 10 minutes. Contact support if the number is correctly registered in your account — sometimes there's a mismatch between your SIM and profile data.

App crashes on login screen

• Clear the app cache in your phone settings (not just inside the app)
• Uninstall completely and download fresh from the store
• Check available storage space — apps malfunction below 1GB free
• Update your phone's operating system
• Disable battery optimization for the app specifically

Online payment keeps failing

You enter card details, hit confirm, and get an error message. Verify your card supports online payments — some debit cards need this activated through your bank. Check the expiration date and CVV carefully. Browser extensions sometimes interfere: try incognito mode or a different browser entirely. PayPal users should confirm their account is verified and has sufficient balance or a linked funding source. Clear browser cookies if the payment page freezes.

No network signal indoors

Building materials block mobile signals differently. Move closer to windows or go outside to test if signal returns. If it works outdoors but not inside, your home might be in a coverage gap. Enable WiFi calling in phone settings — this routes calls and texts through your internet connection instead. Check if your device supports the right frequency bands for German networks. Older phones might lack Band 20, which penetrates buildings better.
