Service info and troubleshooting

Website and app loading failures

When the EnBW portal or mobile app refuses to load, start with the basics. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then restart the browser completely. For the app, force-close it and reopen. If you're on mobile data, switch to Wi-Fi or vice versa. Sometimes the issue is a stuck session on their servers, and switching networks forces a fresh connection. Update the app to the latest version from your app store, older builds often conflict with server updates.

Cannot access customer account portal

Login problems usually stem from incorrect credentials or expired sessions. Double-check your email address, passwords are case-sensitive. If you've recently changed your password, wait 10 minutes before trying again, server sync takes time. Try the password reset function, but check your spam folder for the reset email. Browser extensions, especially privacy tools, can block authentication cookies. Disable them temporarily or use incognito mode for troubleshooting.

Payment processing errors
  • Verify your payment method hasn't expired and has sufficient funds
  • Contact your bank, they might be blocking the transaction as suspicious
  • Try a different payment method, some cards have restrictions on utility payments
  • Clear any pending transactions before attempting again
  • Wait 30 minutes between failed attempts to avoid temporary locks
Charging data not updating in real-time

If your electric vehicle charging sessions aren't appearing or show outdated information, the sync between charging stations and the backend can lag. Give it 15-20 minutes after ending a session. Force refresh the app by pulling down on the screen. Log out completely and log back in to trigger a fresh data pull. Check if your charging card is properly registered in your account settings.

Server timeouts during peak hours

High traffic periods, especially evenings and month-end billing cycles, can slow response times. If you hit timeout errors, wait 5-10 minutes before retrying. Avoid repeatedly refreshing, this compounds server load. Morning hours between 6-9 AM typically have lighter traffic. For urgent matters, the automated phone system might respond faster than web services during peak times.
