Messages won't send to matches

You type a message, hit send, but nothing happens. First, check your internet connection—switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see if that fixes it. Clear your browser cache if you're using the website, or restart the Finya app on your phone. Sometimes the session expires, so log out completely and sign back in. If messages still don't go through, try sending from a different device to rule out local issues.

Profile photos fail to upload
  • Make sure your image file is under 5MB and in JPG or PNG format
  • Resize large photos before uploading—many phone cameras create files that are too big
  • Try a different browser if you're on desktop; Chrome and Firefox usually work better than older browsers
  • On mobile, grant the app permission to access your photos in system settings
  • Disable any ad blockers temporarily—they sometimes interfere with upload functions
Can't log into account

Double-check that you're entering the correct email and password. If you've forgotten your password, use the recovery option on the login page. Clear your browser cookies—old session data often causes login loops. Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser settings, as the site won't function properly without it. If you're using the app, uninstall and reinstall it to clear corrupted data.

Search results won't load

This usually happens when filters are too restrictive or the server is busy. Broaden your search criteria—age range, distance, or other parameters. Refresh the page after a minute or two. Check if other parts of the site work normally; if not, the platform might be experiencing temporary downtime. Try searching during off-peak hours when server load is lower.

Notifications don't arrive

Go into your account settings and verify that email notifications are enabled. Check your spam folder—notification emails often end up there. For app notifications, review your phone's system settings to confirm Finya has permission to send alerts. Turn notifications off and back on again to reset the connection. If you're using battery-saving mode, it might be blocking background app activity.
