LinkedIn App Crashes on Launch

If the mobile app freezes or shuts down immediately, start with a force-close and reopen. Clear the app cache in your phone settings — on Android go to Settings > Apps > LinkedIn > Clear Cache. If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall the app fresh. Outdated versions often conflict with server-side updates.

Can't Log In to Your Account

A failed login usually comes down to one of three things: wrong credentials, an expired session, or a temporary server hiccup. Reset your password through the 'Forgot password' link and check your email including the spam folder. If you're using SSO through Google or Apple, try logging in directly with your email and password instead.

Messages Not Sending or Delivering

When messages get stuck in the outbox or show no 'Seen' status for hours, the issue is often a weak connection or a glitch in the messaging thread. Try these steps:

  • Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to rule out a local network problem
  • Close and reopen the conversation thread
  • Log out, then log back in
  • Check if the recipient has restricted messages in their privacy settings
Feed and Search Not Loading

If the feed shows a spinner indefinitely or search returns no results, flush the app cache and check your internet connection speed — LinkedIn needs a stable connection above 1 Mbps to load content properly. On desktop, clear browser cookies and try an incognito window.

Media Files and Videos Won't Load

Photos and videos failing to display usually point to bandwidth issues or corrupted cache. On mobile, disable data saver mode if it's on — it blocks media loading by default. On desktop, disable browser extensions one by one since ad blockers sometimes interfere with LinkedIn's media delivery.

Notifications Not Coming Through

Missed alerts for messages or connection requests are often caused by disabled push notifications. On iOS, check Settings > Notifications > LinkedIn and make sure 'Allow Notifications' is on. On Android, verify that battery optimization isn't restricting background activity for the app.
