If the mobile app closes on launch or stays on the loading screen, first restart the phone and check for pending app or OS updates. Banking apps often stop working correctly on outdated Android or iOS versions. If that does not help, clear the app cache on Android or reinstall the app on iPhone and Android. Also make sure the device date and time are set automatically, because incorrect time can break secure sessions.
A blank page, endless spinner, or partial screen rendering is often caused by browser cache, blocked scripts, or unstable internet. Open the site in a private window, then try another browser. Disable content blockers for the banking domain and check whether JavaScript is enabled. If the page opens on mobile data but not on home Wi-Fi, restart the router and test the connection speed and packet loss.
A transfer can remain pending when extra verification is required or when the bank systems are under heavy load. Check the transaction history rather than the confirmation screen alone. If the amount is reserved but the transfer is not completed after a reasonable time, log out, sign in again, and review status updates. Weekend and evening processing can also delay some transfers.
Push alerts may stop if battery optimization, focus mode, or background data restrictions are enabled. Allow notifications in both the phone settings and the app settings. On Android, exclude the app from aggressive battery saving. On iPhone, check Background App Refresh and notification permissions. If alerts still do not arrive, sign out and back in to refresh the device registration.
During 3D Secure checks, the confirmation window may fail to display or freeze. This usually happens when pop-ups are blocked, the app handoff does not complete, or the mobile signal drops during approval. Keep the banking app updated, allow pop-ups in the browser, and avoid switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data mid-transaction.
If the site or app shows a maintenance message, timeout, or generic server error, there is usually nothing to fix on the device beyond retrying later. Still, check whether other secure sites work normally, because DNS or local network issues can look similar. If only this service is affected, wait and try again after some time instead of repeating failed actions.
