MijnABP Won't Load at All

If the portal refuses to open, start with the basics. Clear your browser cache and cookies — outdated cached data is one of the most common culprits. Try a different browser or switch from desktop to mobile (or vice versa). Check whether your internet connection is actually working by loading another site. If everything else loads fine but ABP's portal stays blank or throws an error, the issue is likely on the server side. Wait 10–15 minutes and try again.

Login Errors in Your Personal Account

Authentication failures usually come down to a few things:

  • Forgotten or expired DigiD credentials — renew them through the DigiD website directly
  • Browser autofill inserting outdated passwords — clear the field manually and retype
  • Session timeouts after leaving the tab idle — simply log out and log back in
  • Cookies blocked by browser settings — allow them for the ABP domain

If two-factor authentication stops working, make sure your phone's clock is synced correctly, since time drift breaks authenticator apps.

Pension Overview Page Not Displaying

Sometimes you log in successfully but the dashboard stays empty or shows a loading spinner indefinitely. This is often a JavaScript issue. Make sure your browser is up to date and that script blockers or privacy extensions aren't interfering. Disabling extensions temporarily usually reveals the cause fast.

Documents and PDF Files Won't Open

Pension statements and letters are delivered as PDF files inside the portal. If they don't open, check that your browser has a built-in PDF viewer enabled, or download the file and open it with a local reader. On mobile, make sure you have enough storage space to save the download.

Mobile Site Freezing or Crashing

On smartphones, the portal can freeze mid-session, especially on older devices or slow connections. Closing background apps frees up memory and often resolves this. If pages load partially and then stop, switch from a mobile data connection to Wi-Fi — a weak signal causes incomplete page loads that look like app bugs but aren't.

Messages Not Arriving from ABP

If you're expecting a confirmation email or notification and it hasn't arrived, check your spam folder first. Add the sender domain to your trusted contacts to prevent future filtering. Also verify inside your account settings that your email address is entered correctly — a single typo means messages route nowhere.

Slow Response Times on the Portal

High ping and sluggish page responses usually trace back to your own connection rather than the service. Run a speed test to confirm your bandwidth. If you're on Wi-Fi, moving closer to the router or switching to a wired connection makes a noticeable difference during peak hours.
