Shows where the service URL was unreachable during the detected outage periods. Percentages indicate the share of failed checks from monitoring locations in each country.

If the site refuses to open, start with the basics: clear your browser cache and cookies, then try a different browser entirely. Chrome and Firefox handle the platform differently, and a corrupted cache is a surprisingly common culprit. If the problem persists, flush your DNS cache — on Windows, run ipconfig /flushdns in the command prompt. Also check whether your ISP is experiencing outages, as regional connectivity issues can make the site appear down when it's actually fine.
Dutch government services, including Werk.nl, use DigiD for authentication. If your login fails, the issue is often on the DigiD side rather than the job portal itself. Check that your DigiD app is updated and that your phone's date and time are set to automatic. SMS verification codes sometimes arrive late — wait 60 seconds before requesting a new one. If you're copying a password from a manager, make sure no trailing space is included.
A frozen dashboard usually points to a JavaScript conflict. Disable browser extensions one by one — ad blockers and privacy tools often interfere with government portals. If you're on a work or library computer, the IT policy may be blocking scripts the site depends on. Switching to a private/incognito window with extensions disabled resolves this in most cases.
File uploads fail for a few predictable reasons: the file exceeds the size limit, the format isn't accepted, or the session timed out before the upload finished. Keep CVs and certificates under 4 MB, use PDF or DOCX formats, and avoid leaving the page idle for more than 15 minutes before uploading. If the progress bar freezes at any point, the session is likely dead — log out, log back in, and retry.
The mobile version of the portal occasionally lags behind desktop functionality after updates. If a feature works on desktop but not on your phone browser, try requesting the desktop version through your mobile browser menu. The dedicated mobile experience isn't always consistent across Android and iOS, so switching devices or browsers can save time.
If job search filters produce no results or seem to ignore your input, the filter state may be cached incorrectly. Remove all active filters manually rather than refreshing the page, then reapply them one at a time. Sorting and location filters are the most prone to glitching — entering a postal code instead of a city name often gives more reliable results.
