App Won't Load or Keeps Crashing

If the Albert Heijn app freezes on launch or crashes mid-session, start by force-closing it and clearing the cache. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > AH > Clear Cache. On iOS, offload and reinstall the app. Make sure you're running the latest version — outdated builds often break after backend updates. If the problem persists, check whether your OS version is still supported.

Login Errors in Your Account

Failed logins are usually caused by a mismatch between stored credentials and a recently updated password. Try resetting your password via the 'Forgot password' link. If you're using autofill, disable it temporarily — saved entries sometimes carry over old or corrupted data. Also check that cookies are enabled if you're logging in through the browser.

Online Payment Not Going Through

A payment failure at checkout can come from several directions:

  • Your bank may be blocking the transaction — check your banking app for alerts
  • 3D Secure confirmation didn't load — try a different browser or disable aggressive ad blockers
  • Card details may have changed (new expiry, reissued card) — update them in your account
  • The payment gateway may be temporarily unavailable — wait a few minutes and retry
Bonus Card Not Syncing Properly

If your digital bonus card doesn't register discounts or scanned items don't apply the right price, the issue is often a sync delay between the app and the server. Close and reopen the app before scanning. If bonuses aren't credited after a purchase, they usually appear within 24 hours — if not, contact support with your receipt.

Website Slow or Unresponsive

High page load times on the AH website are often local. Test your connection speed and try a different network. Browser extensions — especially script blockers — can interfere with the checkout process. Switching to a private/incognito window rules out extension conflicts quickly.

Search Returns Wrong or No Results

If the product search returns empty results or irrelevant items, it's usually a temporary indexing issue. Reload the page, clear your browser cache, or try searching from the app instead. Switching between the web and mobile versions can help isolate whether the problem is platform-specific.

Order Confirmation Email Not Arriving

Check your spam folder first. If nothing is there, verify the email address saved in your account settings. Mail delivery can lag by up to 15 minutes after placing an order. If you still receive nothing, the order status page inside your account is the most reliable source of truth.
