When your photos get stuck during upload, start by checking your file size. Bumble accepts images up to 10MB, but anything over 5MB often causes timeouts on slower connections. Compress your photos before uploading or switch from cellular data to Wi-Fi. If that doesn't help, clear the app cache in your phone settings — Android users go to Settings > Apps > Bumble > Storage, iPhone users need to reinstall the app since iOS doesn't offer direct cache clearing. Sometimes the issue is with photo format: stick to JPG or PNG files, avoid HEIC or unusual formats.
Your message shows a red exclamation mark or keeps spinning forever? First, pull down to refresh your chat list — this forces the app to reconnect. Check your internet connection by opening a browser or another app. If your connection works fine elsewhere, log out and log back into your Bumble account. On Android, go to Profile > Settings > Log out. For persistent issues, toggle airplane mode on for 10 seconds, then off. This resets your network connection and often fixes message delivery.
Video calls need stable internet with at least 2 Mbps upload speed. Run a speed test before calling — if your speeds are low, move closer to your router or disconnect other devices using bandwidth. Close background apps that consume resources: streaming services, downloads, cloud backups. Grant Bumble full camera and microphone permissions in your phone settings. If video still stutters, restart your phone to clear memory and close all apps.
This usually happens after app updates or account syncing issues. Force close Bumble completely — swipe it away from recent apps, don't just minimize it. Reopen and wait 30 seconds for data to sync. Check if you're logged into the correct account, especially if you previously used multiple phone numbers or email addresses. Uninstalling and reinstalling brings back missing data in most cases, as your profile is stored on servers.
