X App Won't Open or Crashes

If the app freezes on launch or shuts down immediately, start with the basics: force-close it, clear the cache in your phone settings, and reopen. If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Outdated builds often break after platform updates.

Login Errors and Account Access Issues

A failed login usually comes down to one of three things: wrong credentials, expired session, or a temporary lock after multiple failed attempts. Reset your password through the official flow, wait 15–30 minutes if you've been locked out, and make sure two-factor authentication codes are coming through — sometimes there's a delay with SMS.

Feed Not Loading or Stuck on Refresh
  • Pull down to manually trigger a refresh
  • Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to rule out a network issue
  • Check that background app refresh is enabled in your device settings
  • Log out and back in if the feed stays blank after all of the above
Posts and Replies Fail to Send

When a post just spins and never goes through, it's often a connectivity hiccup. Check your signal, try switching networks, and attempt to post again. If the issue repeats, the character limit or an attached media file may be the blocker — try sending text only first.

Media and Videos Won't Load
  • Slow or broken media usually points to a weak connection or a full device cache
  • Go to Settings > Apps > X and clear cached data
  • On desktop, clear browser cache and disable any content-blocking extensions
  • Video stuttering on a strong connection often resolves after toggling video quality to a lower setting in the app
Notifications Not Arriving

Missing notifications are almost always a permissions problem. On iOS, go to Settings > Notifications > X and make sure alerts are on. On Android, check that battery optimization isn't killing the app in the background. Also confirm in-app notification preferences haven't been accidentally turned off.

High Latency When Browsing

Slow response times and laggy scrolling can be caused by server load on X's end, but before assuming that — restart your router, close background apps eating bandwidth, and check whether other sites feel slow too. If it's isolated to this platform, waiting 10–20 minutes usually resolves it.
