CIC App Won't Open or Crashes on Launch

Delete the app cache from your phone settings, then force-stop the application and relaunch it. If it still fails, uninstall and reinstall the latest version from the official store. Older versions of the CIC mobile app can conflict with updated OS security policies, especially after a major Android or iOS update.

Login Errors in Online Banking

Wrong credentials are the obvious cause, but not always the real one. Sometimes the session token stored in your browser becomes corrupted. Clear cookies and cached data for the site, then try a private browsing window. If the two-factor authentication code never arrives by SMS, check that your registered phone number is still active and has signal. Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data to rule out carrier filtering.

Payments Failing at Confirmation Step
  • Make sure your card spending limits haven't been reached for the day
  • Check that the beneficiary account details are entered without extra spaces or incorrect IBAN formatting
  • Disable any browser extensions that interfere with form submissions
  • Try a different browser if the confirmation button appears frozen
Transfer Stuck in Pending Status

A transfer showing pending for more than a few hours during business days usually points to a validation hold. Log into the personal account, navigate to the transaction history, and look for any alert or action required flag on that transfer. If nothing appears, contact CIC support directly with the transaction reference number.

Pages Load Slowly or Time Out

Slow page rendering on the banking portal is often a local network issue rather than a server problem. Run a quick speed test to confirm your connection isn't throttled. If ping to external servers is above 200ms, restart your router. Also check whether the issue appears on mobile data — if the site loads fine there, your home network or DNS settings are the bottleneck.

SMS Verification Codes Not Arriving
  • Confirm your phone isn't blocking messages from unknown senders
  • Check if your inbox is full, which prevents new messages from being delivered
  • Wait two minutes before requesting a new code, since duplicate requests can cancel each other
Interface Freezes During Navigation

If the web interface freezes mid-session, it's usually a JavaScript rendering issue in the browser. Reload the page with a hard refresh. If the freeze repeats consistently on a specific screen, try switching to a Chromium-based browser with no extensions active. On mobile, closing background apps frees RAM and often resolves freezing in the CIC app immediately.
