Force close the application completely and restart your phone. Often the app hangs when memory runs low or background processes pile up. Clear the cache through your phone settings under Apps, find LOVOO, then Storage and tap Clear Cache. If crashes persist, uninstall and download a fresh copy from your app store. This usually fixes corrupted files that cause random shutdowns.
Check your connection first. Switch between WiFi and mobile data to see if one works better. Messages get stuck when the connection drops mid-send. Pull down to refresh your chat list. If specific conversations won't work while others do fine, try deleting that chat thread and starting fresh. The local data might be corrupted.
Images showing as blank squares usually means your app hasn't downloaded them yet. Wait a few seconds on good connection. If your own profile picture disappeared, re-upload it. Sometimes the file link breaks on the server side and needs manual refresh.
Double-check your email and password for typos. Use the Forgot Password option if you're uncertain. Make sure your email account itself still works and you can receive messages there. If you signed up through Facebook or other social login, use that same method every time. Mixing login methods locks you out.
Your filters might be too restrictive. Reset all search parameters to default and try again. Distance settings sometimes glitch and need adjustment. Close and reopen the search tab. Location services must be enabled for distance-based matching to work properly.
Disable auto-play for videos in settings. Video content eats through data fast when scrolling. Download profile updates only on WiFi by adjusting your preferences. Background refresh keeps pulling data even when you're not actively using the app, so turn that off in phone settings.
