No mobile signal

If the phone shows No Service or only emergency calls, first check whether flight mode was enabled by mistake. Restart the device, then switch network selection from automatic to manual and back. If you recently changed SIM cards or moved the SIM to another phone, reseat it and inspect for damage. In weak coverage areas, 4G or 5G may drop completely while 2G still works for calls, so forcing a lower network mode can help.

Mobile internet not working
  • Turn mobile data off and on, then reboot the phone.
  • Check APN settings. Wrong or empty APN values are a common cause after updates or device changes.
  • Make sure the data limit or fair-use cap in the account has not been reached.
  • Test another app or website to confirm whether the issue is general or app-specific.
  • If data works but is extremely slow, disable 5G temporarily and test 4G only.
Calls fail or drop

Outgoing calls may fail if VoLTE is enabled but not provisioned correctly on the line. Disable VoLTE in phone settings and try again. If calls connect and immediately end, reset network settings. Also verify that call barring, fixed dialing, or Do Not Disturb features are not interfering.

SMS messages are not sent
  • Check the SMS service center number in messaging settings.
  • Confirm the number format includes the correct country code.
  • Delete a few old threads if the messaging app is stuck.
  • If dual SIM is enabled, make sure the correct SIM is selected for SMS.
  • Try sending plain text first; oversized attachments may convert the message and fail.
SMS are not received

This often happens after switching from another phone platform or after enabling spam filtering. Restart the phone, update carrier settings, and test with several senders. If one-time passwords do not arrive, the sender may be blocked by message filtering or delayed by network congestion.

My Vodafone app freezes

If the app opens but hangs on the dashboard, clear cache first, then app data if needed. Make sure the app is updated and the phone time is set automatically; incorrect time can break session validation. On Android, battery optimization can also stop background authentication steps.

Login does not work

Wrong password messages may appear even with the correct credentials if the session token expired or the browser stored broken cookies. Clear cookies for the site, try a private tab, and enter the number in full international format if required. If the one-time code never arrives, test whether SMS in general is working on the line.

Payment does not go through
  • Check whether the bank card supports online and recurring payments.
  • Verify 3D Secure confirmation was completed and not left pending.
  • Make sure the billing address and cardholder name match the bank record.
  • Try a different browser or disable autofill if the payment form keeps reloading.
  • If balance top-up fails repeatedly, wait a few minutes before retrying to avoid duplicate authorization holds.
Very high ping

High latency on mobile data is common during cell congestion, especially in the evening. Run a speed test in different locations, not just indoors. If gaming or video calls are unstable, switch from 5G to 4G or vice versa and compare. Background cloud backups can also saturate the connection and make ping spike badly.
