Email Login Fails Repeatedly

When you can't access your mailbox, first check if you're typing the correct email address format - it should end with @web.de or your custom domain. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again. If you've enabled two-factor authentication, make sure you're entering the code from your authenticator app within the time limit. Sometimes browser extensions block login scripts, so switch to incognito mode to test. For the mobile app, uninstall and reinstall it to clear corrupted local data.

Emails Not Sending or Stuck
  • Check your outbox for messages stuck in queue and delete them before trying again
  • Verify attachment size doesn't exceed 20MB limit - compress large files or use cloud links
  • Disable antivirus email scanning temporarily as it may interfere with SMTP connection
  • If using third-party email clients, confirm SMTP settings: smtp.web.de, port 587, TLS enabled
  • Remove special characters from recipient addresses that might cause parsing errors
Inbox Not Loading New Messages

Your inbox might show old emails but miss recent ones due to filter settings gone wrong. Go to settings and check if you accidentally created rules that move incoming mail to spam or other folders. The mobile app sometimes stops syncing when battery optimization kills background processes - add the app to exceptions in your phone settings. For IMAP clients, connection limits might block syncing if you have multiple devices connected simultaneously.

Attachments Won't Download or Open

Browser security settings often block automatic downloads. Click the attachment and choose 'Save as' instead of direct opening. If downloads start but fail halfway, your internet connection drops packets - try switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data. Some file types get blocked by built-in security filters, so ask the sender to compress them into a ZIP archive. Clear your download folder if it's full, as some systems stop downloads when storage runs low.

Interface Freezes During Composing

This happens when you paste formatted text from Word or websites. Use Ctrl+Shift+V to paste plain text instead. Draft autosave can freeze older browsers - update to the latest version or switch to Chrome or Firefox. If you're writing very long emails, save drafts manually every few minutes. Disable browser translation extensions as they conflict with the text editor.
