Fortuneo App Won't Open or Load

If the mobile app freezes on the splash screen or refuses to load at all, start by force-closing it and clearing the cache in your phone settings. On iOS, offload and reinstall the app. On Android, go to app settings and wipe the cached data. Make sure your operating system is up to date — older versions sometimes lose compatibility after a Fortuneo update. If the issue persists, check your internet connection by opening another app or browser.

Login Fails With Correct Credentials

Authentication errors are often caused by a mismatch between your saved password and the one the bank actually has on file. Try resetting your password through the forgot password flow on the website. If you use autofill, disable it temporarily and type credentials manually. Also check that cookies are enabled and that your browser isn't blocking third-party scripts, since the login system relies on them.

Online Transfers Stuck or Not Processing

A transfer showing as pending for more than a few hours may be held for a security review or blocked by an input error. Double-check the IBAN, the amount, and whether the recipient is already validated in your account. Some transfers to new beneficiaries require a confirmation by SMS code — if that message never arrives, it could be a carrier delay or your phone number needs updating in your profile.

  • Check that your phone has signal and isn't in do-not-disturb mode blocking unknown senders
  • Verify the phone number registered in your account matches your current SIM
  • Request the code again after 60 seconds rather than multiple rapid retries
  • If the issue is recurring, contact support to re-link your number
Card Payment Declined Online

Some card rejections happen because 3D Secure verification fails, not because of insufficient funds. Make sure you have online payments enabled in the app under card settings. If you recently received a new card, activate it before attempting purchases.

Website Displaying Incorrectly or Frozen

Browser extensions, particularly ad blockers and privacy tools, frequently interfere with the interface rendering. Disable extensions one by one to identify the culprit. Switching to a private browsing window is a quick way to test this. If charts or account history won't display, try a different browser entirely — Chromium-based browsers generally work best with the platform.

Slow Response and High Latency

Heavy server load during peak banking hours (typically weekday mornings) can cause sluggish page transitions. Switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data sometimes bypasses local network congestion. Restarting your router also helps if the delay affects multiple websites simultaneously.
