Website Won't Load or Times Out

If the Liander website refuses to open or keeps timing out, start with the basics: clear your browser cache, try a different browser, or switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data. Sometimes the issue is a stale DNS record — flushing your DNS cache (ipconfig /flushdns on Windows) can help. If the site is unreachable across multiple devices and networks, the platform itself may be temporarily down for maintenance.

Login Errors in the Personal Account

Failed login attempts are usually caused by one of these:

  • Incorrect credentials — reset your password via the 'Forgot password' link and check that Caps Lock is off
  • Browser autofill inserting outdated data — clear saved passwords and type manually
  • Session cookie conflicts — log out completely, clear cookies, and try again
  • Account temporarily locked after too many failed attempts — wait 15–30 minutes before retrying
Online Portal Frozen or Unresponsive

A frozen interface typically means a JavaScript error or a memory-heavy browser tab. Reload the page with Ctrl+Shift+R (hard refresh), close other tabs, and disable browser extensions one by one to find the culprit. If the portal consistently freezes on a specific step, try completing that action in a private/incognito window.

Payment Not Going Through

When a payment fails inside the Liander portal, first verify that your payment method is valid and has sufficient funds. Some banks block unfamiliar utility payments by default — check your banking app for a pending authorization request. Also confirm that your billing details in the account settings exactly match what your bank has on file. If the error persists, try a different payment method or contact your bank to whitelist the transaction.

Account Dashboard Not Displaying Data

If usage data, invoices, or meter readings aren't showing up, the most likely cause is an incomplete page load. Disable any ad blockers or script blockers for the domain, since they sometimes intercept API calls that fetch account data. Switching to a Chromium-based browser also resolves display issues caused by rendering inconsistencies in older browsers.

PDF Invoices Failing to Open

Downloaded invoices that won't open are usually a browser PDF-viewer conflict. Save the file to your device and open it with a dedicated PDF reader instead of the built-in browser viewer. If the download itself fails, try right-clicking the link and selecting 'Save link as' rather than clicking directly.
