Internet Connection Drops Randomly

If your LIWEST broadband keeps disconnecting, start with the basics: reboot your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds, not just pressing the reset button. Check all coaxial or ethernet cables for visible damage or loose connectors. If drops happen at the same time each day, it often points to line interference or a shared node getting congested during peak hours. Log the times and contact support with that data — it speeds up diagnostics considerably.

Slow Speeds Despite Paying for More

Run a speed test via a wired connection, not Wi-Fi. If wired results are far below your contracted speed, the issue is likely on the network side. Over Wi-Fi, interference from neighboring networks is a common culprit — switching your router to a less crowded channel (use a Wi-Fi analyzer app to find one) can make a noticeable difference. Also check whether multiple devices are streaming or downloading simultaneously.

Router Signal Not Reaching All Rooms

Thick concrete walls and metal structures kill Wi-Fi range fast. Repositioning the router to a central location helps, but if the apartment or house is large, a mesh system or a powerline adapter with a Wi-Fi extender is the more reliable fix. Avoid placing the router inside cabinets or near microwaves.

Can't Log In to the Customer Portal
  • Clear browser cache and cookies before retrying
  • Try a different browser or an incognito window
  • Make sure caps lock is off when entering your password
  • Use the password reset option if the account hasn't been accessed in a while

If the portal itself won't load at all, check whether the issue is specific to your network by trying mobile data.

TV Service Freezing or Pixelating

This usually comes down to signal quality or bandwidth. If you're using LIWEST TV over IP, the same connection issues that affect internet speed will hit video quality first. Reduce the number of active devices, check for packet loss using a ping test to the gateway, and inspect the cable connection at the back of the set-top box.

New Device Won't Connect to the Network
  • Confirm the device supports the frequency band your router broadcasts
  • Check whether MAC address filtering is enabled in router settings
  • Restart both the router and the device
  • Verify you're entering the correct Wi-Fi password, including case
No Dial Tone on Home Phone

If you have a bundled landline and it goes silent, first check the physical phone cable connection. If the cable is fine and the router is online, the issue is likely with the VoIP configuration. Restarting the router often restores the service. If it doesn't come back within a few minutes, the provisioning may need to be refreshed on the provider's side — that requires a call to support.

High Ping During Online Gaming

Latency spikes are often caused by background traffic on your network. Pause any active downloads or streaming, connect via ethernet instead of Wi-Fi, and check whether QoS settings on your router can prioritize gaming traffic. Persistent high ping during off-peak hours with no background load suggests a routing issue worth reporting directly to LIWEST technical support.
