Mooney App Won't Open or Crashes

If the Mooney app freezes on launch or shuts down immediately, start with the basics: force-close the app, then reopen it. If that doesn't help, clear the app cache in your device settings. On Android, go to app settings and clear cached data. On iOS, delete and reinstall the app. Make sure your OS version is supported — older Android or iOS versions sometimes cause silent compatibility failures.

Login Fails or Account Is Inaccessible

Wrong credentials are the obvious culprit, but the issue is often something else. A session timeout can lock you out even with correct details. Try resetting your password through the recovery option. If two-factor authentication is enabled and you're not receiving the SMS code, check that your phone number is correct in the profile and that your carrier isn't blocking short-code messages.

Payment Not Going Through

Several things can block a transaction:

  • Insufficient balance or a spending limit set on the account
  • Card details entered incorrectly, including the billing address
  • The merchant's payment system rejecting the request due to a mismatch
  • Temporary hold placed by the fraud detection system

Wait a few minutes and retry. If the amount was deducted but the payment shows as failed, the funds usually return within one to three business days.

Transfers Stuck or Not Arriving

If a transfer you've sent doesn't show up on the recipient's end, first confirm the transaction status inside the app. A pending status means the transfer is still being processed — this can take up to 24 hours depending on the destination bank. Double-check the recipient's details, because even a single wrong digit routes the transfer incorrectly.

Slow Interface and Frozen Screens

A sluggish or unresponsive interface usually comes down to a poor connection. Run a quick speed test — if latency is above 150ms or download speed drops below 5 Mbps, the app will struggle. Switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi or vice versa. If the problem persists on a stable connection, the issue may be server-side and should resolve on its own within an hour or two.

SMS Codes or Notifications Not Arriving

Check that notifications are enabled for the app in your device settings. Also verify that your phone storage isn't full — some devices stop delivering SMS when storage is critically low. If you're in an area with weak signal, move to a location with better reception and request the code again.
