Poste Italiane Website Won't Load

If the site times out or shows a blank page, start with the basics: clear your browser cache, disable any extensions that might interfere with scripts, and try a different browser. Chrome and Firefox tend to behave more reliably than older Edge versions with the portal. If the issue persists across browsers, the problem may be on the server side — wait 15–20 minutes and retry.

App Crashes on Launch or Freezes

The BancoPosta app occasionally crashes after OS updates. Force-close the app, clear its cache from your device settings, and restart. If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Make sure your OS version meets the app's current requirements — older Android versions below 9 sometimes cause persistent freezing.

Login Errors in Personal Account

Wrong credentials are the obvious culprit, but sometimes the session token expires or the system fails to recognize a valid password. Try resetting your password through the recovery flow. If two-factor authentication is enabled and the SMS code isn't arriving, check that your registered number is correct and has full mobile signal. Delays in SMS delivery can run up to several minutes on congested networks.

Online Payment Not Going Through
  • Check that your card hasn't expired and the billing address matches what the bank has on file
  • Disable any browser content blockers — they sometimes strip parameters from the payment redirect
  • Try a different network: corporate Wi-Fi with strict firewall rules can block payment gateway callbacks
  • If the transaction shows as pending but no confirmation arrives, wait 30 minutes before retrying to avoid duplicate charges
Transfers Stuck in Pending Status

A transfer stuck in pending usually means the system is waiting for identity verification or flagged the amount for a manual review. Log into your account and check for any pending confirmation requests or document uploads. If nothing appears, contact support with the transaction reference number — do not initiate the transfer again before hearing back.

Slow Interface and High Response Times

Heavy traffic on the portal, especially around month-end bill payment deadlines, noticeably slows page rendering. Switch to a wired connection if you're on Wi-Fi, and avoid peak hours between 12:00 and 14:00 local time. Running a quick speed test helps confirm whether the bottleneck is your connection or the remote server.

Notifications and Messages Not Arriving
  • Go to app settings and confirm notifications are enabled at both the app and OS level
  • Check that your email address on the account is current and not full
  • Messages sometimes land in spam — add the official sender domain to your safe list
  • If in-app messages show as sent but never appear on another device, log out and back in to force a sync
