If the login page hangs or throws an authentication error, start with the basics: clear your browser cache and cookies, then try a hard reload. Chrome and Firefox both accumulate session data that can conflict with certificate-based authentication. If you use the mobile app, force-close it and reopen. Also check that your system clock is accurate — certificate validation is time-sensitive, and even a few minutes of drift can break the handshake.
This usually happens when the app hasn't been updated in a while. Go to your app store and install the latest version — the signing module is updated frequently to stay compatible with backend changes. If the crash persists after updating, check that your phone has enough free storage; low storage causes unpredictable app behavior. Android users should also verify that the app has permission to access NFC if you're using a card-based method.
This is almost always a local clock issue. Sync your system time with an internet time server. On Windows, open date and time settings and trigger a manual sync. On macOS, go to date and time preferences and enable automatic time zone detection. After syncing, retry the signing process — the timestamp is generated at the moment of signing, not retroactively.
Server-side outages do happen. First, try reloading after a few minutes. If the issue is on your end, run a quick traceroute to identify where packets are dropping. Switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data can confirm whether your local network is the bottleneck. If the portal remains unreachable for more than 20–30 minutes, the issue is likely on the provider's infrastructure and you'll need to wait it out.
