Service info and troubleshooting

App Won't Open or Crashes on Launch

Clear the app cache first — on Android go to Settings, find the foodora app, and tap Clear Cache. On iOS, delete and reinstall the app. Make sure your OS version is supported; the app generally requires iOS 15+ or Android 9+. If it still crashes, check whether a newer version is available in the store.

Order Not Going Through at Checkout

This usually comes down to three things:

  • The restaurant may have closed or paused orders — refresh the page and check the estimated delivery time shown
  • Your saved card might have expired or been flagged by your bank
  • A temporary session error can lock the checkout — logging out and back in often clears it
Payment Keeps Failing

If your card gets declined repeatedly, the issue is often on the bank side, not the app. Contact your bank to confirm online transactions are enabled for your card. Try adding a different payment method. Also check that your billing address in the app matches what your bank has on file — a mismatch is a common silent blocker.

Restaurant Menu or Images Not Loading

Slow or unstable mobile data is usually the cause. Switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi or vice versa and reload. If images stay blank on a stable connection, force-close the app and reopen it. On the web version, clearing browser cookies can help.

Login Errors and Account Access Issues

If the password reset email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder and make sure you're entering the email address tied to your account. Wait a couple of minutes before requesting another reset link — the system throttles repeated attempts. If you see a generic error on login, the server may be under load; try again in five to ten minutes.

Map or Address Search Not Working

The delivery address search relies on location services. Make sure the app has permission to access your location, or type the address manually. If autocomplete suggestions stop appearing, check your internet connection — this feature requires a live data fetch and breaks on high latency or packet loss.

Notifications from the App Not Arriving

Go to your phone settings and confirm that push notifications are enabled for foodora. On Android, battery optimization settings sometimes block background app activity, which cuts off delivery status alerts. Toggling notifications off and on in the app settings can re-register the push token and restore alerts.
