App won't load or crashes on launch

If the KFC app freezes on the splash screen or closes right away, start with the basics: force-close it, clear the cache in your phone's app settings, then reopen. If that doesn't help, check whether your OS version is still supported — older Android or iOS builds sometimes conflict with recent app updates. Reinstalling usually fixes persistent crashes.

Login errors in the account

A failed login is almost always one of three things: wrong credentials, an expired session, or a temporary server hiccup. Try resetting your password through the 'Forgot password' link. If the reset email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. Also make sure you're not accidentally logged into a different region's account.

Payment not going through at checkout
  • Double-check that your card details are entered correctly — expiry date and CVV included
  • Some banks block online food-delivery transactions by default; call your bank or approve the payment in your banking app
  • Try a different payment method: another card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay
  • If the order page freezes after clicking 'Pay', don't tap again — wait 30 seconds and check your email for a confirmation before retrying
Order status stuck or not updating

Sometimes the app shows 'Preparing' for way too long — this is usually a sync issue between the app and the server. Pull down to refresh the order screen. If that does nothing, log out and back in. The order itself is typically fine on the restaurant's end even when the app lags behind.

Promo codes and rewards not applying

If a coupon or loyalty points aren't working at checkout, check the expiry date and whether the code applies to your specific order — some offers exclude certain items or pickup-only orders. Logging out and back in refreshes your account state and often makes the discount appear correctly.

Slow interface and high response times

A sluggish menu or long waits between screens usually points to a weak connection rather than the service itself. Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data or vice versa and see if it improves. Closing background apps that eat bandwidth helps too. If the slowness is consistent across different networks, the issue may be on the server side — try again in 10–15 minutes.
