App crashes when booking a ride

The SIXT ride app sometimes freezes or closes unexpectedly during the booking process. Force quit the application completely and restart it. Clear the app cache in your phone settings under Storage. If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Make sure your phone operating system is up to date, as outdated iOS or Android versions cause compatibility issues.

Payment declined at checkout
  • Check if your card has sufficient funds and hasn't expired
  • Verify that online payments are enabled for your card through your bank's mobile app
  • Try adding a different payment method in the app settings
  • Contact your bank to confirm they didn't block the transaction as suspicious activity
  • Remove the saved card and add it again with correct details
Can't log into account

If you're stuck at the login screen, double-check your email and password for typos. Use the password reset option if you're unsure about your credentials. Sometimes accounts get temporarily locked after multiple failed login attempts, wait 30 minutes before trying again. Switching between mobile data and Wi-Fi can also resolve authentication server timeouts.

Ride location not loading on map

The map view requires a stable internet connection and GPS access. Enable location services for the app in your phone settings with 'Allow all the time' or 'While using the app' permission. If the map still shows a blank screen, toggle airplane mode on and off to refresh your connection. Poor GPS signal indoors means you might need to step outside for better accuracy.

Confirmation messages not arriving

Missing booking confirmations usually point to notification settings being disabled. Go to your phone settings, find the ride-hailing app, and enable all notifications. Check your email spam folder as automated messages sometimes land there. If you're using a work email with strict filters, add the sender to your safe list or switch to a personal email address in your account profile.
