Site won't load or opens partially

If the page gets stuck on a blank screen or throws a connection error, start with the basics: clear your browser cache, disable extensions (especially ad blockers — they often break HLTV's layout), and try a different browser. If that doesn't help, flush your DNS cache with ipconfig /flushdns on Windows or the equivalent on macOS.

Match page freezes mid-browse

This usually happens when too many live score widgets are running at once. Reload the tab, and if the freeze repeats, disable hardware acceleration in your browser settings. Chrome and Firefox both bury this option in advanced settings — worth finding it.

Live scores not updating

The live match ticker relies on a persistent connection. If scores stopped refreshing:

• Hard-reload the page with Ctrl+Shift+R
• Check if WebSocket connections are blocked by your firewall or antivirus
• Switch from Wi-Fi to a wired connection to rule out packet loss
• Try disabling browser extensions one by one

VODs and highlights won't play

Video content on the platform is often hosted via third-party players. If nothing plays, check that your browser allows autoplay and that no script blocker is killing the player. Updating your browser to the latest version fixes this in most cases. Also confirm your internet speed — streams need at least 5 Mbps stable.

Images and avatars fail to load

Broken thumbnails or missing team logos usually point to a caching issue or a CDN hiccup. Force-refresh the page, or open it in a private/incognito window to confirm it's not a local cache problem.

Search returns no results or errors

If the search bar stops responding or returns empty pages for obvious queries, the index may be temporarily out of sync. Wait a few minutes and try again. Switching to a different DNS server (like 1.1.1.1) sometimes resolves lookup failures faster.

Account login fails repeatedly

Double-check that Caps Lock is off and your credentials are correct. If the login button does nothing, JavaScript may be blocked on your end. Whitelist the site in your ad blocker and script manager, then retry.
