If the site times out or throws a connection error, start with the basics: clear your browser cache and cookies, then try a hard reload. If that doesn't help, switch to a different browser entirely. Chromium-based browsers sometimes conflict with aggressive ad blockers or script blockers that strip out elements IEX.nl needs to render properly. Disable extensions one by one to find the culprit.
Authentication issues usually come down to three things:
If none of that works, use the password reset flow and set a fresh one.
This is often a JavaScript rendering problem rather than a server outage. IEX.nl relies on dynamic data feeds, and if your browser blocks certain scripts, quotes freeze at the last cached value. Enable JavaScript fully for the domain, disable any content-blocking extensions, and reload. On mobile, switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data (or vice versa) can also shake loose a stalled feed.
If the search bar stops responding or returns empty results for known tickers, the index on your end may be out of sync. Force a full page reload with Ctrl+Shift+R on desktop. On mobile browsers, clearing the app cache fixes this in most cases.
A frozen portfolio view is almost always a client-side memory issue. Close other heavy tabs, especially those with live data feeds. If you're on the mobile site, switch to the dedicated app. If you're already in the app and the interface hangs, force-close it and relaunch — this clears the in-memory state that sometimes gets stuck during session refresh.
Check that your email provider isn't silently filtering messages from the IEX.nl domain into spam or promotions. Add the sender address to your contacts. For push notifications in the app, go to your phone's system settings and confirm that notification permissions are granted and that battery optimization isn't killing the background process.
