Page Fails to Load or Times Out

Pilet.ee occasionally becomes unreachable during peak hours or after updates. Before assuming the service is down, try a hard refresh by pressing Ctrl+Shift+R on desktop or clearing the browser cache entirely. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to rule out a local network issue. If the problem persists across multiple devices and networks, the server may be temporarily unavailable — waiting 10–15 minutes usually resolves it.

Login Not Working in Personal Account

If you can't sign in, first confirm the credentials are correct and caps lock is off. Reset your password using the email link. If the confirmation email doesn't arrive, check the spam folder and make sure your inbox isn't full. Browser autofill sometimes inserts outdated passwords, so try typing manually. Logging in via a private browsing window can also eliminate cached session conflicts.

Payment Fails at Checkout

This is one of the more frustrating issues. Card payments on Pilet.ee can fail due to:

  • The bank blocking an unfamiliar online transaction
  • Insufficient funds or an expired card
  • A mismatch between billing details and bank records
  • The online banking session timing out mid-payment

Open your banking app to check whether a confirmation request is waiting. Some Estonian banks require two-factor approval that expires quickly. If the charge appeared but no ticket was issued, contact your bank before retrying to avoid a duplicate payment.

Ühiskaart Balance Not Updating

After loading a ticket onto your Ühiskaart, the balance update is not always instant. The card reader on the bus validates data from the chip, which syncs on the next tap at a terminal or validator. If the balance stays wrong after 24 hours, log into your account and check transaction history to confirm the purchase completed.

Search Returns No Results or Freezes

Route or schedule searches can hang if the request hits a slow API response. Reload the page and try a broader search — avoid special characters in station names. If the interface freezes completely, closing the tab and reopening it is faster than waiting for a timeout.

Mobile Site Behaving Unexpectedly

On mobile browsers, the interface can misrender or buttons may become unresponsive. Zooming in sometimes triggers layout bugs. Use the browser's desktop mode as a temporary workaround, or switch to a different mobile browser. A weak signal causes partial page loads, so make sure you have stable connectivity before completing any ticket purchase.
