Website will not open

If the PostNL site does not load at all, first check whether other websites open normally. A stalled page is often caused by a local DNS issue, an overloaded browser cache, or a temporary server outage. Reload the page with Ctrl+F5, try another browser, and switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi or back. If only the tracking page fails, open the general homepage first and navigate from there instead of using an old bookmarked URL.

App freezes on startup
  • Force close the app and open it again.
  • Update it through the App Store or Google Play.
  • Restart the phone to clear stuck background processes.
  • Check free storage: if the device is nearly full, the app may hang before loading account data.
  • If the problem started after an update, clear the app cache on Android or reinstall on iPhone.
Login code does not arrive

A delayed verification code is usually linked to mobile signal problems, SMS filtering, or an incorrect phone number saved in the account. Make sure the SIM has network coverage and can receive regular texts from other contacts. Turn airplane mode on and off, then request a new code. If several codes were requested in a row, wait a few minutes: repeated attempts can trigger a temporary block.

Account login keeps failing
  • Check for autofill errors: saved passwords often include an outdated email address.
  • Enter credentials manually, especially on mobile.
  • Reset the password if the site keeps returning to the login screen.
  • Disable browser extensions that block scripts or cookies, because the account area depends on both.
Tracking search shows errors

When parcel tracking returns no result, the most common cause is an incomplete or mistyped barcode. Copy the number directly from the shipping email instead of retyping it. New shipments may also take several hours to appear in the system. If the search page loads but shows a generic error, refresh once and try again later rather than submitting the same code repeatedly.

Label payment does not go through

Payment failures when buying a shipping label usually come from expired cards, strict bank fraud checks, or a timeout between the checkout page and the payment provider. Reopen the checkout, confirm the billing details, and avoid using multiple tabs. If online banking or card approval does not complete, check whether the bank app is waiting for confirmation.

Pickup point map does not load

The service often needs location access and active map scripts to show nearby points. If the map area stays blank, allow location permissions in the browser or app settings. Also disable private browsing for that session, because map components and cookie consent tools may fail there.

Push notifications are missing

Missing delivery updates are usually caused by disabled notification permissions, battery saving limits, or an outdated app session. Open the phone settings and verify that notifications are allowed for the app. On Android, exclude it from aggressive battery optimization. If alerts still do not arrive, sign out and sign back in so the device token is refreshed.
