App won't load past the login screen

After entering your credentials in the mobile banking app, the screen freezes or shows an endless loading circle. First, clear the app cache in your phone settings. For iOS users, delete and reinstall the app completely. Make sure you're running the latest version available in the App Store or Google Play. If your device has pending system updates, install them before trying again.

Photo transfer fails when scanning documents

The app crashes or refuses to accept photos when you try to upload ID documents or payment slips. Check your camera permissions in phone settings and grant full access. The file size might be too large, so compress images before uploading. Poor lighting creates blurry scans that get rejected automatically, so photograph documents in bright, even light against a dark background.

Push TAN notifications never arrive
  • Verify that notifications are enabled for the banking app in your system settings
  • Check if Battery Saver or any optimization mode is blocking background processes
  • Test your internet connection by opening a browser and loading any website
  • Restart your phone to refresh network connections
  • Uninstall and reinstall the pushTAN app if you use a separate device
Online banking session expires immediately

You get logged out within seconds of accessing your account through the website. Clear all browser cookies and cache, particularly those stored for sparkasse domains. Disable browser extensions temporarily, especially ad blockers and privacy tools that interfere with session tracking. Try a different browser or use incognito mode to isolate the issue.

Payment transactions stuck in pending status

Transfers show as initiated but never complete. Your account might have insufficient funds including reserved amounts from previous pending transactions. Check if you've exceeded daily transfer limits set in your security settings. Contact your branch if the recipient's IBAN was flagged by automated fraud detection, which happens with first-time international transfers to certain countries.
