If the UNIPARK app freezes on the splash screen or closes immediately, start with the basics: force-close it, clear the cache in your phone's app settings, and reopen. If that doesn't help, check whether your OS version meets the minimum requirements listed in the app store. Reinstalling usually resolves persistent crash loops caused by corrupted local data.
Failed payments in the parking system are most often caused by one of these:
If retries keep failing, try adding a different card or paying through the web version at the official UNIPARK site.
A 'wrong credentials' error often appears after a password reset that hasn't fully propagated yet. Wait a couple of minutes, then try again. If you use autofill, make sure your browser or password manager isn't inserting an outdated password. For 'account not found' errors, confirm you're using the same email you registered with — Lithuanian users sometimes have accounts tied to a phone number instead.
Server-side slowdowns usually affect everyone at once during peak hours. Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R on desktop) and switch networks — from Wi-Fi to mobile data or vice versa — to rule out a local routing issue. If the site loads on mobile data but not on Wi-Fi, the problem is with your router or ISP.
Sometimes the parking session is active but the confirmation SMS or email never arrives. Check your spam folder first. If the message still isn't there after 5 minutes, log into your account and look at the session history — if the session shows as active, the payment went through and you're covered. Delivery failures are usually caused by telecom filtering or a typo in your registered contact details.
If the map inside the app doesn't detect your location or returns no parking zones, make sure location permissions are set to 'Always' or 'While using the app'. On iOS, go to Settings — Privacy — Location Services. Also check that your phone's GPS isn't blocked by a metal roof or underground structure — UNIPARK's zone detection relies on a stable location signal.
