If the Waternet portal doesn't open at all, start with the basics: clear your browser cache, try a different browser, and check whether the issue is specific to your device or network. Chrome and Firefox tend to behave more reliably than older Edge versions. If the page loads partially but freezes, it's often a JavaScript conflict — disabling browser extensions temporarily can help isolate the cause.
Wrong credentials are the obvious culprit, but session cookies can also cause a loop where the login screen keeps reloading. Clear cookies for the Waternet domain specifically, not the entire browser. If you use a password manager, verify it's inserting the correct credentials. After several failed attempts, the system may temporarily block access — wait 15–20 minutes before trying again.
This is one of the more common friction points. A few things to check:
PDF invoices failing to display usually points to a browser PDF viewer conflict. Download the file directly rather than opening it inline. On mobile, if the Waternet app shows a blank screen where the document should appear, force-close the app and reopen it — this clears the rendering queue.
The mobile app occasionally freezes after an OS update. Update the app to the latest version first. If it still crashes, uninstall and reinstall — this resets local data that can become corrupted. On Android, check that background data permissions are enabled, otherwise the app can't sync account information and stalls on the loading screen.
If the form accepts your input but shows an error on submission, the issue is often a timeout on the server side. Submit during off-peak hours, typically early morning. Also make sure your photo upload (if required) doesn't exceed the file size limit — resize the image to under 2 MB before attaching.
