Bolt Food App Won't Open at All

If the app freezes on the splash screen or crashes right after launch, start with the basics: force-close it completely and reopen. If that doesn't help, clear the app cache in your phone's settings — on Android this is under Storage in the app info panel. iOS users should delete and reinstall the app. Make sure you're running the latest version, since older builds often break after server-side updates.

Login Fails or Loop Keeps Repeating

This usually comes down to a session token that's gone stale. Log out manually if you can reach the screen, then log back in. If the app keeps bouncing you back to the login page, clear cached data or reinstall. Check that your phone's date and time are set to automatic — mismatched system time breaks authentication on many platforms.

Payment Goes Through But Order Doesn't Confirm

This is one of the more frustrating ones. The charge may be a pre-authorization that reverses automatically within a few days. Before contacting support, check your bank app to see if it's pending or settled. Also verify that your card isn't flagged for online transactions — some banks block food delivery apps by default until you whitelist them.

Restaurant Menu or Images Not Loading

Slow or unstable connections cause this constantly. Switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi or the other way around. If images still won't render, the CDN serving them may be under load — waiting a few minutes and refreshing usually sorts it. Reducing background app activity also helps on older devices.

Search Returns No Results or Wrong Ones
  • Pull down to refresh the restaurant list before searching
  • Check that your delivery address is correctly pinned on the map, since results are location-dependent
  • If the search bar accepts input but returns nothing, restart the app
  • A city-level outage on Bolt Food's end can also cause empty search results — check their social media for status updates
Order Tracking Stuck or Not Updating

Tracking relies on a live data connection. If the courier's position freezes on the map, it's almost always a sync issue on your end. Toggle airplane mode on and off to force a reconnection, or close and reopen the app. If the estimated time stops counting down entirely, the backend may be experiencing delays — the order is likely still active even if the screen looks frozen.

Notification for Order Status Not Arriving
  • Make sure notifications are enabled for the app in your phone's system settings
  • On Android, check that battery optimization isn't killing the app in the background
  • If push notifications stopped working after a system update, revoking and re-granting notification permissions usually fixes it
