No Mobile Signal Indoors

Weak or absent signal inside buildings is one of the most common complaints. Tele2 operates on 800 MHz, 1800 MHz, and 2600 MHz bands, and the low-band 800 MHz frequency penetrates walls best. If your phone is stuck on 2G or shows no signal, go to network settings and manually select 4G/LTE only, then switch back to automatic — this forces the modem to re-register on the tower. Moving closer to a window or an exterior wall usually helps. If the issue persists at a specific address, the nearest base station may be under maintenance.

Mobile Internet Stops Working

The connection icon shows LTE but pages won't load. First, toggle airplane mode on and off to reset the radio module. If that doesn't help, check APN settings — for Tele2 Russia the correct APN is internet.tele2.ru with no username or password. A wrong or missing APN is the most frequent cause of broken data after a SIM swap or phone reset. Also check that mobile data isn't capped under your current plan balance.

Personal Account Login Fails

The My Tele2 app or web cabinet rejects your credentials or loops on the SMS confirmation screen.

  • Clear the app cache in your phone settings before retrying
  • Make sure the phone number is entered with the country code in the correct format
  • If the SMS code doesn't arrive within two minutes, request it again — the first code expires fast
  • On the website, try a different browser or disable extensions that block scripts

If the account is blocked due to multiple failed attempts, it unlocks automatically after 15–30 minutes.

Payment Not Going Through

Card payments in the app or on the site fail at the confirmation step. Check that your bank hasn't flagged the transaction — some banks block telecom payments by default under their anti-fraud rules. Use the 3D Secure confirmation if prompted. Alternatively, top up via an ATM, a Tele2 retail point, or through your mobile bank's transfer-by-phone-number feature, which bypasses card processing entirely.

SMS Messages Not Delivered

Outgoing messages show as sent but recipients don't receive them. This usually happens when the SMSC number is missing or corrupt in the SIM settings. The correct service center number for Tele2 Russia is +79122000001. On Android, you can set it manually in the messaging app under SIM settings. If MMS specifically won't send, confirm that mobile data is active — MMS requires a working data connection regardless of your Wi-Fi status.

App Interface Frozen or Unresponsive

The My Tele2 app hangs on loading screens or buttons don't respond. Force-close the app, clear its cache, and reopen it. If the issue repeats after an update, uninstall and reinstall — corrupted update files cause this more often than server problems. On iOS, offloading the app from storage settings preserves your login while clearing temporary data.
