If the Chai app freezes on the splash screen or closes immediately, start with the basics: force-quit the app, clear its cache in your device settings, then relaunch. On Android, go to Settings → Apps → Chai → Storage → Clear Cache. On iOS, offload and reinstall the app. Make sure your OS version meets the minimum requirements — older firmware is a common culprit.
When your message just hangs with a spinner and never delivers, the issue is almost always a dropped connection. Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data or vice versa to rule out a local network problem. If both fail, the servers might be under load — wait a few minutes and try again. Long messages with complex formatting sometimes get stuck too; try sending a shorter test message first.
Sometimes the bot just stops replying mid-conversation. This usually means the session timed out or hit a context limit. Close the chat, reopen it, and send a new message. If the problem repeats across multiple chats, log out and back in to refresh your session token.
Can't get past the login screen? First, double-check your credentials — copy-paste the password rather than typing it. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, make sure the third-party auth isn't blocked by your browser or device privacy settings. Reset your password if needed; the reset email sometimes lands in spam.
A sluggish interface — buttons not responding, chats loading slowly — often comes down to device memory. Close background apps and free up storage space. If you're on the web version, clear browser cookies and try a different browser entirely. Disabling browser extensions can also help isolate the cause.
