App Won't Load or Crashes on Launch

If the HoYoLAB app freezes on the splash screen or closes immediately, start with the basics: clear the app cache, force-stop it, and relaunch. On Android, go to Settings → Apps → HoYoLAB → Storage → Clear Cache. If that doesn't help, check whether your OS version meets the minimum requirements — outdated firmware is a common culprit.

Login Errors and Account Access Issues

A failed login usually comes down to one of these:

  • Wrong region selected at the login screen — your account is tied to the region where it was created
  • Expired session cookie — log out completely and log back in
  • Two-factor verification email not arriving — check your spam folder and make sure the email address on file is active
  • Account temporarily locked after multiple failed attempts — wait 30 minutes before retrying
Posts and Comments Not Submitting

If your forum post or check-in just spins without going through, the issue is almost always a connection hiccup between your device and the platform's servers. Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data (or vice versa) and try again. If the problem persists across both, the servers may be under load — common right after a major game update or event launch.

Game Data Not Syncing to Profile

Sometimes character stats or exploration progress stops updating on your HoYoLAB profile. First, make sure in-game data sync is enabled in the game's settings menu. Then open the app and manually trigger a refresh by navigating away from your profile and back. If the data is still stale after a few hours, re-linking your game account through the Account Settings page usually resolves it.

Images and Videos Failing to Load
  • Thumbnails stuck on placeholder icons — disable any aggressive battery saver mode, which often blocks background data
  • Video posts buffering endlessly — the issue is typically bandwidth; try dropping to a lower quality setting if the player offers one
  • Uploaded media stuck in 'processing' — this is server-side and resolves on its own, usually within 15–30 minutes
High Latency on the Check-In Page

Slow response times on the daily check-in are usually tied to peak traffic hours, especially around midnight server reset. If the page times out, wait a few minutes and refresh — your check-in data is saved server-side, so you won't lose progress even if the confirmation screen doesn't appear.
