If you hit 'Generate' and nothing happens — or the spinner just keeps spinning — first check your internet connection. Gamma App relies heavily on its servers during generation, so even a brief hiccup can stall the process. Try refreshing the page, clearing the browser cache, and starting a new project. If the issue repeats, switch to a different browser (Chrome tends to work most stably).
The most common culprits are a mistyped password or an expired session. Use 'Forgot password' to reset credentials. If you log in via Google or Microsoft SSO and get an error, make sure third-party cookies aren't blocked in your browser settings — Gamma needs them to complete OAuth authentication.
This usually means the connection to the server dropped mid-session. Check the status indicator in the top bar — if it shows 'Offline' or 'Reconnecting', wait for it to restore and avoid closing the tab. Enable auto-save in settings if it isn't on already.
If the export button does nothing or the download never starts, the issue is usually a timeout on the rendering server. Close other heavy tabs, wait 2–3 minutes, and try again. Very large decks (30+ slides with rich media) occasionally exceed the processing limit — try exporting in smaller chunks.
If your card gets declined during a Pro upgrade, double-check that the billing address matches your card exactly. Gamma uses Stripe, so international cards occasionally trigger fraud filters. Try a different card or contact your bank to whitelist the transaction. If the charge went through but the plan didn't activate, wait a few minutes and hard-refresh — the subscription status can lag slightly after payment confirmation.
