Password reset doesn't always fix login loops. Clear your console's cache first: power down completely, unplug for 30 seconds, restart. If you're on PS5, go to Settings → Users and Accounts → Other → Restore Default Settings. On PS4, boot in Safe Mode (hold power button for 7 seconds) and select 'Rebuild Database'. Check if your account has two-factor authentication enabled — you'll need the backup codes if your phone isn't receiving SMS.
License verification issues cause this. Go to Settings → Account Management → Restore Licenses. This re-syncs your purchases with servers. If a specific game crashes on startup, delete and reinstall it — corrupted files happen during downloads, especially if your console went to rest mode mid-install. For disc games, clean the disc with a microfiber cloth from center outward.
NAT type restrictions block proper communication. Check your NAT type in Network Settings — it should show Type 2 or better. Type 3 means your router needs port forwarding: open ports 80, 443, 3478-3480 for PlayStation services. Restart your router after changes. Wired connection always beats WiFi for voice stability.
Your card provider might flag gaming transactions as suspicious. Call them first. Try adding funds through PlayStation gift cards instead — many retailers sell digital codes you can redeem instantly. Remove and re-add your payment method in Account Management. Ensure your billing address matches exactly what your bank has on file, including apartment numbers and zip codes.
